The introduction of this first Premiol line of oilfield performance products represents a new beginning in the oilfield industry for Celanese. Building on a strong ‘Voice of the Customer’ based understanding of market trends and needs, Celanese is moving forward with an intensive R&D effort to develop new products and tailor solutions to resolve issues in productivity, performance, cost control, environmental compliance, safety and more.

Celanese technology is being considered for a broad range of applications in the oilfield industry, with a current focus on cementing and drilling. In the future, Celanese is interested in supporting oilfield customers across the spectrum of downhole applications, with target areas including acidizing, stimulation, workover, water management, fracturing, and others.

An R&D effort is supported by in-house cementing and drilling fluid labs and experienced personnel dedicated to oilfield customers and their applications. The primary mission of this group is the development of laboratory and field data to ensure optimum performance and cost advantages are made available with leading Premiol technologies.
